Port of Piraeus

Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT), located in the province of Attika in Greece, commenced operations on 1 October 2009 and has been converted into the first large scale state-of-the-art modern container terminal in Greece. PCT is a 100% subsidiary of COSCO Pacific Limited (CPL) member of the COSCO Group. PCT main services offered are container loading and discharge, reefer monitoring and warehousing and storage of cargoes. The current annual throughput of the terminal is about 2.1M TEUs while the target for 2013 is to exceed 2.5M TEUs. The port currently operates using 12 PP QCs, 6 SPP QCs, 16 semi-automated RMGs and it can accommodate 1090 reefer TEUs using 760 reefer plugs.
