4th training activity-Overview

 “New technologies in ports for the optimization of the security, safety and the impact in the environment: competitiveness and sustainability. Real cases and pilots in the INTE-TRANSIT project”

After the success of previous training activities in Seville, Naples and Valencia, the INTE- TRANSIT Consortium has organized its 4th Training event on 11th and 12th March under the theme: “New technologies in ports for the optimization of the security, safety and the impact in the environment: competitiveness and sustainability. Real cases and pilots in the INTE TRANSIT project”.

The 4th training activity was hosted by the INTE-TRANSIT partner APPA- Andalusian Public Ports Authority, in Algeciras, Spain. The trainers were representatives of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems -ICCS, (Greece), Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. - PCT (Greece), SEAbility Ltd (Greece), CO.NA.TE.CO. SPA (Italy), Luka Koper-Port of Koper (Slovenia), Andalusian Public Port Authority-APPA (Italy), Red Logística de Andalucía-APPA ( Spain), Valenciaport Foundation-VPF (Spain) and Andalusian Institute of Technology-IAT (Spain).

 The training programme included 11 training presentations and the approximately 35 participants had the opportunity to learn more on new technologies for ports and port logistics areas used to optimise the security, safety and the impact in the environment. PC-based demos to showcase the project solutions were also available to the attendees describing the main technological components developed by project partners for Pilots Group A and Group B.
